Teen Programs are held at 5 p.m. Mondays at the Darlington Library. 843-398-4940

The Darlington Soil & Water Conservation District Board meets at 7 p.m. the fourth Monday of each month in the Clemson Extension Kitchen at 300 Russell St., Room 207, Darlington. Open to the public. Info: 843-393-0483

Alcoholics Anonymous holds an open meeting at 8 p.m. Mondays at Trinity United Methodist Church, 126 Pearl Street. Use the Orange Street entrance. Info: 843-395-6897

Tuesday

Free Exercise Classes will be held at 9 a.m. most Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at the Harmon Baldwin Recreation Center, 300 Sanders St., Darlington. Info: 843-398-4030

After School Club will be held at the Darlington Library at 4 p.m. each Tuesday during the school year. 843-398-4940

The Williamson Park Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 23 and on the second Tuesday of the month at Harmon Baldwin Recreation Center, 300 Sanders St.

The Community Halloween Carnival will be held Tuesday night at 6 p.m. at Darlington Country Club. Hot Dogs, Cake Walk, Costume Contest, Games, and Candy! Cost; $5.

Swing and Shag dance lessons from 8 to 10 p.m. at Darlington Elks Lodge, 836 Timmonsville Highway, Darlington. 843-393-145

Wednesday

Homeschool Hub will meet at 2 p.m. each Wednesday at Darlington Library, 204 N. Main St. 843-398-4940

Thursday

Darlington Lions Club meets at 7 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of the month at Darlington Country Club.

Fighting in Faith, a community awareness event, will be held Thursday, October 25, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Harmon Baldwin Recreation Center, 300 Sanders St. Guest Speaker Mrs. Tracey O'Neal, McLeod Health Nurse Navigator. The Darlington Area Recreation Department and the Darlington Downtown Revitalization Association (DDRA) will offer children a downtown Trick-or-Treat experience, the Scare on the Square, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, October 25, at the Public Square in Darlington. Employees of area businesses will be handing out treats to costumed children, and some will be dressed in costumes themselves.

Saturday

Darlington Presbyterian Church is hosting it's 2nd Annual Harvest Festival from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday and invites the community to join us for a time of food, fellowship, and fun. Liberty Hill Blue Grass will delight us with live blue grass music, and we will have pulled pork barbecue and fixings for dinner on the grounds. We will also have lawn games, face painting, pumpkin painting, a photo booth, storytelling, and a lollipop tree. All are welcome and invited to join.

Upcoming Events

The DDRA will hold its final membership meeting of 2018 at 8 a.m. at Taki’s Diner on Pearl Street. Breakfast will be provided for member businesses at no charge. Nonmembers who would like to attend the meeting are welcome for a nominal donation of $5 per person. Please bring any ideas or feedback on our activities and programs.

The annual DDRA Business Costume Contest will be held during the Scare on the Square as well as on Wednesday, October 31. Businesses should call Rock at 843-398-4000 x 103 by October 30 to be included in the contest. You also may email info@buildupdarlington.org.

Trick-or-Treat within the City of Darlington will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31.
