Purple Lipstick Ministries will hold Wear Your Heart On Your Sleeve at 9 a.m. April 23 at 2156 Cashua Ferry Road. Guest speakers include Arthemius Jackson and Nioka Stuckey. This month marks another opportunity for us to shed light into the darkness that surrounds two of society's growing issues. April has been designated Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Child Abuse Prevention Month across the United States. For many of us, it will be marked by prevention and awareness-raising efforts, days of remembrance and calls to action. Join us as we empower some by speaking on behalf of others. Free event. First Church of God will be hosting a town hall meeting at 6:30 p.m. April 24 at the church, 620 N Main St, Darlington. Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. for $3/person or $10/family. Meeting will be discussing and answering questions about the upcoming Capital Fund Campaign and proposed by-law changes. Copies of the proposed changes are available for review at the welcome center in the narthex.

Thursday, May 2 – Rotary Club of Darlington will hold its annual Auction & Fundraiser beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Darlington Country Club. Admission is $10.

Join Darlington Area Recreation for its Mother-Son Date Knight from 6 to 8 p.m. May 9 at Harmon Baldwin Recreation Center, 300 Sanders St., Darlington. Cost is $25 per couple plus $10 for each additional child. Deadline to register is Friday, May 3. Limited to the first 100 couples.
